Reason why Adebayor was left out of Villa Boas squad... Salute to the rejected stone that has now become the chief corner stone.

Adebayor was frozen out by former boss Andre Villas-Boas, partly over a dispute about the striker refusing to remove a beanie hat during a meeting.
There was also a disagreement after Adebayor was given compassionate leave to attend the funeral of his brother Peter, who died in the summer. On his return, he was left to train with the reserves.
The rift was eventually a factor in the Portuguese's dismissal when he would not budge on his decision to leave the player out of the side during a meeting with chairman Daniel Levy following a poor run of results.
The formidable Togolese has netted 11 goals in 15 appearances, and five in his last four games.
He has scored almost one out of every two attempts this season and his shot conversion rate of 42.1 per cent is the highest of any player in the Premier League.

Who do you think delivers better free kicks...omo e go hard to choose oo

Drogba and Luiz rekindle old times with secret handshake before yesterdays clash...After all said and done....Its just a game

It's been hard to remember at times this week that Didier Drogba actually plays for Galatasaray rather than Chelsea. The man who won the Champions League for the Blues played against them on Wednesday and he had a special welcome for David Luiz.

Photo of the day !!!

Who would like to see this fixtures for the quarter final? I sure would. Hala Madrid

At least Chelsea have something to brag about...An away goal advantage

Chelsea were aiming to provide a much-needed boost for English clubs following a miserable fortnight which had already seen Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United suffer 2-0 losses in their Champions League ties.
The Blues avoided an unwanted quadruple by scoring and avoiding defeat, but will feel they should be heading into next month's return leg with a healthy lead.

The new meaning of BBC is Bale Benzema Cristiano...lol

Real Madrid virtually secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday night with a stunning 6-1 demolition of Schalke.
The nine-time winners had only won once before in 25 trips to Germany but victory was never in doubt at the Veltins-Arena with Real's most potent attacking weapons coming to the fore.
Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo all scored twice as an insatiable Madrid left Schalke requiring a miracle at the Bernabeu in three weeks time despite Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scoring the goal of the night in time added-on.

Champions League Continues....

He is being linked with a move to Manchester united in the summer, but after yesterdays match.....

Who do you think would draw first blood tonight?

Mourinho won the champions league with Porto and Inter Milan, the Chelsea boss is attempting to reach the semi-finals for the eighth time in 10 years and could be the first to coach three clubs to the title.Galatasaray coach Mancini has made it past this last-16 stage only once and never beyond the quarter-finals

I hope Chelsea won't follow the chorus...

Isn't this the biggest joke of the year.

David Moyes Manchester united team, makes Olympiacos look like Bayern Munich.

So ordinary, so lifeless, so devoid of ambition, the worst performance of the season. This should call for David Moyes's sack

Olympiacos. Not Bayern Munich or Barcelona. Olympiacos. Not master coach Pep Guardiola. Michel. Not Lionel Messi. Alejandro Dominguez.
And not down to 10 men either. Unlike Arsenal and Manchester City last week, Manchester United had their full complement on the field. It just didn’t look like it.
This may well be the worst performance of David Moyes’s brief time as United manager, the one that really will cause questions to be asked about his suitability.
Manchester united lost 2-0 to Olympiacos in Greece.

Inter Milan targets Obi..Good one, but I feel he should stay and fight for his place at the Bridge.

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is a target of Italian giants Inter Milan who are looking for a defensive midfielder to shore up their middle.
Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Walter Mazzari has sent his main scout to monitor the Nigerian whose contract at Stamford Bridge lasts till 2017.Mikel has seen his Chelsea place come under threat with the arrival of Nemanja Matic in January and has also been curtailed by minor injuries.Rated at 15 million Euros, the prize could be too high for the San Siro club who are also mauling a loan move in the summer transfer window.

England fans are hopeful for better results from Chelsea and Man Utd to progress to the quarter final of the Champions league. Can they Redeem England

AC Milan secures back to back Serie A wins for the first time this season... Thumbs up Seedorf

AC Milan secured back-to-back Serie A wins for the first time this season with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Sampdoria on Sunday.
By the midway point of the Italian championship, the Rossoneri appeared more likely to be involved in a relegation battle than fighting for a place in the top five.
However, Milan have won four of their six games since Clarence Seedorf replaced Massimiliano Allegri as coach, meaning they know lie just five points behind city rivals Inter, who sit fifth.

Can Real Madrid capitalize and go all the way, with 3 point advantage over Barca and Athletico? I hope they do.

Barcelona, Real and Atletico were level on 60 points before the latest round of matches but after Real cruised to a 3-0 win over Elche on Saturday, Barca were beaten 3-1 at Real Sociedad as coach Gerardo Martino's decision to rest key players backfired.
Barca and Atletico won impressively in midweek Champions League action but were unable to carry their form into the weekend.
Real, who are unbeaten in 26 matches in all competitions and visit Atletico next Sunday, are top on 63 points with 13 games left.

Do you think Ibra would do well in EPL?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his second  hat-trick in 2014 to help PSG beat a dogged Toulouse 4-2 in Sunday's closely fought Ligue 1 clash. The Swede took his Ligue 1 tally to 22 for the campaign

Sturrridge in sensational form....Thumbs up! Mr Break dancer

The striker became only the second player to score in eight consecutive Premier League games and has now got nine goals in his last seven league outings.
If Luis Suarez was Liverpool's star of the first half of the season, then Daniel Sturridge is undoubtedly taking on that role for the run-in. The first man since Ruud van Nistelrooy to score in eight consecutive Premier League appearances, whose goals could yet fire the Reds to the title.

Going back to Mourinho's comment.. ''The worse barcelona team in many years'' Do we now agree

Barcelona, featuring Lionel Messi, Neymar and Andres Iniesta, were a shadow of the side that outwitted Manchester City in midweek, as the Spanish giants slumped to a shock defeat at Real Socieded on Saturday by 3-1 The defeat leaves Barcelona three points adrift of La Liga leaders Real Madrid, who earlier had eased to 3-0 win over Elche.

Finally Manchester Utd moves up one spot to 6th Position on the English Premier League..

Manchester United ended a three-match Premier League winless run as goals from Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney condemned Crystal Palace to defeat.
Wayne Rooney became just the second Premier League player to score 10 or more goals in

10 consecutive seasons, after Chelsea's Frank Lampard.

Mourinho plotting a move for Javier Zanetti.... This guy can like to buy buy buy.

Rumour has it that the Portuguese, keen to add experience to his ranks, is attempting to lure the 40-year-old Argentine to Stamford Bridge in a player/coach capacity when his contract expires in June .

Ozil issues an apology to Arsenal fans for poor performance against Bayern Munich ... Is the apology accepted?

Writing on his Facebook page, Ozil said: "The next morning doesn't feel better either. Sorry guys - it wasn't planned that way. Outnumbered it was really hard to win against this team."

In recent times English teams have been victims of Red card offences... Uefa but y?

Did you know that Toni Kroos had more touches on the ball than Arsenal's entire midfield. Hmmm Interesting.

Arsene Wenger believes the referee ''killed the game'' after he sent off the keeper. I totally agree with him. Do you?

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes the referee "killed the game" after he sent off goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny during the first leg of their last-16 Champions League loss to Bayern Munich.
The referee made a decision that killed the game," Wenger said."Our keeper went for the ball, he touched Robben, who made more of it."
"Robben has enough experience to know to make more of it," said Wenger. "Overall I thought Bayern made a lot of every single contact. We are not used to that in England.
"There were fouls given today that usually are not given in the Premier League, but it's different rules and we have to accept it.

Throw Back Thursday !!! Who remembers this pic

The Rossoneri were beaten by a late Diego Costa goal, but the Dutchman believes his team will improve before March 11 and has faith they can turn the tie around
Clarence Seedorf refused to be down-hearted about AC Milan's 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in Wednesday's Champions League clash.

The Rossoneri were dominant for large periods of the game but were made to pay for their profligacy when Diego Costa headed home an 83rd winner in the first leg of the last 16 tie at San Siro.

Is this just a Coincidence...

Miss it Ozil, oops! Mesut Ozil misses 3 Penalties in a row. He should go and find his form where he left it.

The 25-year-old missed from the spot with the game still level in Wednesday's Champions League clash and went on to put in an underwhelming performance in the 2-0 defeat
