Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid... What are your predictions...Will Chelsea park the bus again?

Chelsea captain John Terry and midfielder Eden Hazard will be fit for Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid but keeper Petr Cech is out.
Centre-back Terry injured his ankle in the goalless first leg, and Cech dislocated his shoulder.Hazard, could play for the first time since 8 April and Samuel Eto'o is fit.Atletico captain Gabi is suspended, with ex-Chelsea midfielder Tiago Mendes expected to take his place.Blues coach Jose Mourinho said after the first leg in Spain that both Cech and Terry would miss the rest of the Premier League season, with the Portuguese stating that Terry would only feature again if his club reached the Champions League final on 24 May.

Pep Guardiola, what have you done to Bayern

The Catalan was meant to take Jupp Heynckes' treble winners to the next level but he has instead turned them into the worst version of his former Blaugrana side
Stefan Effenberg told Goal after Bayern Munich’s 1-0 loss to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu last week that Pep Guardiola’s “system had reached its limit”. On Tuesday night in Bavaria, it reached its nadir as his European champions were thrashed 4-0 at home by Carlo Ancelotti's men.
After Bayern’s stunning demolition of Manchester Ciy at the Etihad earlier in the season, it appeared as if Guardiola was poised to create Bayern 2.0. Instead, he has turned last season’s treble winners into Barcelona 2012.
The Catalan had claimed after his side’s first-leg defeat in the Spanish capital that he was proud of his players’ performance. He felt that they deserved credit for having a 78 per cent share of possession. It immediately evoked memories of Xavi pathetically clinging to possession stats after Barcelona had been humiliated 7-0 on aggregate by Bayern in the semi-finals of last year’s Champions League. Keeping the ball should be a means to an end. For Xavi and former Barca boss Guardiola, it seems, possession has become the end in itself.

Serious questions must now be asked of Guardiola’s footballing philosophy. ‘Tika-taka’ was a revolutionary style of play. It transformed Barcelona into one of the most aesthetically pleasing sides the game has ever seen. They were also incredibly successful - until teams worked out how to play against the Blaugrana; how to shut them down, how to isolate Lionel Messi. When Guardiola left Camp Nou in 2012, Barca had become predictable, one-dimensional. Just like Bayern in recent weeks and months.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this. After taking over Jupp Heynckes' treble-winners last summer, Guardiola was supposed to take Bayern Munich to the next level. Instead, he has taken them backwards.

CR7 breaks Messi's record as he becomes the highest goal scorer in the Champions League with 16 goals

Cristiano Ronaldo has broken Lionel Messi's goals record for a single Champions League season following his double in Real Madrid's 4-0 win over Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old's two goals in his side's superb second-leg victory at the Allianz Arena took his tally for the 2013-14 season to 16.
Remarkably, the Portuguese has bettered the Barcelona forward's tally in just 10 outings this term, having missed the group game at home to Galatasaray.
No player has ever scored at such a rate in Europe's premier club cup competition.

Ronaldo has now netted one more than Messi's previous record, with the Argentine registering 14 times in 11 games during the 2011-12 tournament.
16 - Renaldo's tally of 16 goals in a European Cup season is two more than the previous record held by Lionel Messi (2011-12 Barcelona), Ruud van Nistelrooy (2002-03 Man Utd) and Jose Altafini (1962-63 Milan)
33 - Ronaldo has scored a record 33 goals in the Champions League knockout phase, two more than Messi
51 - Ronaldo scored his 51st goal for Real Madrid in all European competitions. Only Raul (66) has more for Real

Bayern Munich 0-4 Real Madrid.... Bayern was raped at home....RIP to Tiki Taka style of play

Pep Guardiola, the Bayern coach, watched from the touchline as his theories were taken apart.
Possession statistics were meaningless, tika-taka was bunk. Madrid, holding a single goal first-leg lead at the Allianz Arena, were a spectacular four goals clear on aggregate by half-time and Munich looked close to incompetent, trailing so miserably in their wake.
They were overrun in midfield, hopeless in defence and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was a nervous wreck. Madrid had been the better team in the first game, too; but nobody expected them to emphasise their superiority quite like this.
By the end, the home fans were voicing their displeasure at the substitution of Thomas Muller and sceptics were wondering whether this was the Guardiola bubble burst.

Liverpool's 24-year wait for the Premier League title continues....Liverpool 0-2 Chelsea

Demba Ba gave the Blues the lead at the end of the first half after Steven Gerrard's slip and Willian capped the win with a breakaway goal in stoppage time.
Yesterday's result ends Liverpool's 16-match unbeaten streak that had seen them march to the top of the table and means the title is no longer in their control.Manchester City can draw level with them if they win their game in hand, while Chelsea are two points behind, within touching distance should Brendan Rodgers' side slip up again.

Is David Moyes trying to get over Manchester United.... He was captured chilling in Miami Beach

Former boss David Moyes chose to escape with a sunshine break to the Sunshine State.
The day after United thrashed Norwich City at Old Trafford, Moyes - sacked as manager on Tuesday, was pictured on Miami Beach as he tried to put a dismal week behind him.

The cool way to fight racism.... Chop Banana... Thumbs UP Dani Alves

Dani Alves answered fans' attempts to taunt him during Barcelona's 3-2 victory over Villarreal... by enjoying a mid-match snack at the Estadio El Madrigal.

In scenes that thankfully haven't been seen in this country since the turn of the century, a banana was thrown on to the pitch while the Brazilian defender prepared to take a corner.
But, instead of letting the the incident get to him, Alves calmly picked up the offending fruit, unpeeled it and took a hasty mouthful before carrying on with the game - bananas after all contain high levels of potassium that give athletes energy.

the 30-year-old commented after the game: 'I don't know who threw the banana but I want to thank him. It gave me the energy to put two more crosses in for our goals.'

Ryan Giggs kicks off his managerial career by leading Man Utd to thier biggest Premier League home win of the season 4-0 against Norwich ....Sorry Moyes it was a set up. lol

Ryan Giggs admitted having a sleepless night before leading Manchester United to their biggest Premier League win of the season at Old Trafford on his managerial debut.
And despite Louis van Gaal believing he has already agreed a deal to be United’s next  permanent manager, Wayne Rooney backed Giggs’s candidacy, saying he had the ‘credentials’ to keep the job next season.

Giggs helped the feelgood factor return to Old Trafford with a 4-0 win over Norwich and was given a hero’s welcome and a hug from United mascot Fred the Red as he walked out to take his place in the dug-out five days after the sacking of David Moyes.
The 40-year-old, who made his debut in 1991 before one of his players, Phil Jones, was even born, admitted he had been awake all night on Friday agonising what team to pick.
‘I didn’t sleep last night, not a wink,’ he said. ‘Just leaving out players was the reason I didn’t sleep. It wasn’t nice, I’ve never had to do it before. And I’ll continue not to enjoy it.

‘The reception was great. I have walked out that tunnel so many times for big games and that is the best feeling of them all. I felt 10 foot tall. I was nervous but the welcome was  brilliant.’
Giggs picked an attacking side and was rewarded when Rooney’s penalty gave United a half-time lead. Then Rooney again and a double from substitute Juan Mata completed a win that keeps United’s European hopes alive.
‘It was probably more relief to win as a  manager than as a player.

CR7 scores 2 wonder goals as Real Madrid demolishes Osasuna 4-0 .....Ronaldo better score against Bayern on Tuesday or?

A Cristiano Ronaldo double took his league tally to 30 goals and kept up Real Madrid’s chances of landing the club’s first ever treble.
Ronaldo opened the scoring with an unstoppable 25-yard shot before doubling the lead with an equally special finish from the same distance.Headers by Sergio Ramos and substitute Daniel Carvajal sealed the points.
Real, who move up to second in the table, have won their last four league games, scoring 17 without conceding.
This was every bit as emphatic as the score suggests, with Carlo Ancelotti's team hitting form at the right time.Carlo Ancelotti’s expression as Ronaldo’s spectacular second flew in summed up the sense that with the Fifa World Player of the Year in this form anything is possible with four games left.
The Madrid players presented the recently won Copa del Rey to supporters before the game and with the three points Madrid moved ahead of Barcelona into second place behind Atletico Madrid who play Valencia on Sunday.

Brendan Rogers says pressure is on Chelsea.... And why is Mourinho resting key players?

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists all the pressure is on title rivals Chelsea.
The Reds, who face Jose Mourinho's side on Sunday, need seven points from their last three games to guarantee a first league title since 1989-90.
Victory at Anfield would also end Chelsea's hopes.
"Everyone talks about pressure but that is Manchester City or Chelsea - when you spend that sort of money and expect to win the league," said Rodgers.
"I don't think there is pressure on ourselves, only what we have from within. Look at Tottenham - [when] you spend over £100m you'd expect to be challenging for the league.
"People talk about pressure but it's absolutely wonderful.
"I haven't slept better. It's why we work and whatever happens we'll have had a brilliant season.
"We will do the best we possibly can. At this moment, we have been absolutely outstanding.
Mourinho has suggested he will rest key players at Anfield, ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
The Portuguese refused to discuss his selection plans on Friday but Rodgers said he did not think Mourinho was playing mind games.

Has Louis Van Gaal agreed a deal to become the next manager of Manchester United but yet to sign a contract?

Louis Van Gaal has agreed a deal to become the next manager of Manchester United, according to  Goal.com.
The Dutchman has finalised the terms of a contract with a United delegation headed by the Glazer family in the last 24 hours.

Van Gaal is expected to sign a short-term contract of no more than three years and take over at Old Trafford when his stint with the Netherlands national team finishes after the World Cup.
A United delegation including executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and one of the Glazer brothers have been negotiating the precise terms of the deal at Van Gaal’s villa in the Algarve.
Although United today publicly distanced themselves from rumours that Van Gaal has already put pen to paper, they have not denied that terms have been agreed between the two parties.

RIP TIto Vilanova

Former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has died at the age of 45 after losing his battle with cancer, the club have confirmed.

The ex-central midfielder was admitted to hospital on Thursday following a downturn in his health which required an operation on his stomach, with club president Josep Maria Bartomeu confirming the trainer was "fighting" for his life.
However, Vilanova, whose post-playing career was plagued by cancer, passed away on Friday afternoon.

Vilanova's public health problems began during his final season as Pep Guardiola's assistant when he was diagnosed with cancer of the parotid gland.
He took over from his long-time friend for the 2012-13 season but suffered a relapse just six months into his tenure as head coach.
He underwent surgery in December 2012, with Jordi Roura taking his place on the bench while he recovered in New York, before returning in March 2013 to see out the rest of the reason and guide Barca to La Liga glory.

However, his continued health problems saw him step down as coach of the Catalans last summer, with Gerardo Martino taking the reins in his place.
Vilanova has largely - and understandably - been out of the spotlight since he left his position at Camp Nou but rumours of his ill health have sadly been revealed to be true. He is survived by a wife and two children.

Europa League semi final first leg result: Sevilla 2-0 Valencia

Sevilla have one foot in the Europa League final after a quickfire first-half double proved enough to beat Valencia 2-0 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Stephane Mbia gave the hosts the lead with an improvised effort from close range, though the hosts were left to bemoan a controversial decision to rule the Cameroonian onside, before Bacca scored a matter of minutes later to secure a two-goal first leg advantage.
Valencia slowly came into the game, but lacked a focal point in attack and that enabled their La Liga rivals to record a valuable clean sheet, although only after Eduardo Vargas rattled the crossbar late on.

The victory was Sevilla's first over Valencia this season, but Emery will not be getting too carried away with the result heading into next week's second leg as their opponents came from 3-0 down in their quarter-final tie with Basel to progress to the last four

Europa League semi final first leg result: Benfica 2-1 Juventus

Benfica who were crowned Portuguese champions on Sunday, went ahead early on as Ezequiel Garay's header crept in.
They did not make more of their first-half dominance and Carlos Tevez levelled for Juventus after shimmying thorough a packed penalty box.
But Benfica recovered with Lima's effort sparking wild celebrations.
Claudio Marchisio and Giorgio Chiellini both had chances to spoil the party, but Benfica just about escaped with their lead intact despite sitting back once again.
With the final to be played at Juventus Stadium, the visitors' ambitions of ending an 18-year wait for European silverware in front of a 'home' crowd were dented by Garay's early effort.
With less than two minutes on the clock, the Argentina defender rose above Leonardo Bonucci to head Miralem Sulejmani's corner past an unconvincing Gianluigi Buffon.

Ramires will miss the rest of the Premier League season for violence conduct

Chelsea midfielder Ramires will miss the rest of the Premier League season after accepting a charge of violent conduct.
The Brazilian was sanctioned following an off-the-ball incident involving Sebastian Larsson during his side's 2-1 defeat by Sunderland on Saturday.
The 27-year-old will serve a four-match ban after a review panel decision.
Ramires elbowed Larsson towards the end of the first half at Stamford Bridge, a few moments after the Sunderland midfielder had barged him off the ball in front of goal.
The incident was later reviewed by a panel of former referees, and Ramires will now miss Chelsea's remaining Premier League fixtures this term - against Liverpool, Norwich and Cardiff - as well as their first game of next season.
He is, however, eligible for the second leg of Chelsea's Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid next Wednesday.

The ugly truth...Possession doesn't always give you the points

Thomas Muller feels Real Madrid's defensive approach in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday was a sign of respect toward Bayern Munich and admits it will be difficult for his side to recover from the 1-0 defeat.

The Bundesliga side enjoyed the majority of possession at the Bernabeu as Carlo Ancelotti's men were seemingly happy to sit back and defend, but the guests were unable to take advantage of their dominance and slumped to defeat as they found no reply to Karim Benzema's first half strike.
"I think Real Madrid showed us massive respect," Muller was quoted as saying on Bayern's official website.

"Imagine this: Real Madrid pull everyone back to within 40 yards of their own goal on their home ground.

"We kept on battering away and we were close to scoring at the end. We’ve not done so and we have to make up for that in the return.

"We have a huge task ahead of us."

The second leg is scheduled to take place at the Allianz Arena on April 29

Manchester United stock value increased by £100million as a result of Moyes sack......Moyes breaks another record lol

David Moyes’ sacking saw the value of Manchester United increase by £100million - nearly double the asking price of transfer targets such as Toni Kroos and Luke Shaw.
Tuesday’s confirmation that the Scot had been axed resulted in a hike in the club’s share price on the New York Stock Exchange.
Having opened at 17.72 US dollars, United shares closed at 18.78 dollars – a reported rise in value of £100m.

The decision to axe Moyes and appoint a new manager appears to have won the confidence of investors - perhaps in the belief that the Nike deal will now be confirmed.
London-based financial analyst Andy Green, who writes a blog on football finance and advises the Manchester United Supporters' Trust, said: 'It's telling that there was a level of underperformance the owners could tolerate and a level they couldn't and it's interesting where that level was.

'You can have transition but decline is a different thing entirely and Nike would have not wanted to announce a huge new sponsorship deal while the situation - and the football - has been so dire.'
More than half of the United shares on the NYSE - though only 5.5% of the club - are owned by one American investment firm. It was revealed in March that Baron Capital had acquired 57% of the shares - a good investment strategy in the light of the recent surge in value.
United's debt was reported by the club in September as being £389.2million, costing £71million last year in debt servicing. According to Green, the £71million costs means that the total cost to United in interest, fees, bank charges and debt repayments since the Glazers' 2005 takeover of the club now stands at £680million.

There better be goals in this match tonight ooo..... Please nobody should park bus.

Brace yourselves... Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich is less than 3hrs away

Fifa suspends transfer ban on Barcelona

Barcelona can buy and sell players this summer after Fifa suspended its transfer ban on the club.
The Spanish giants were given the 14-month ban after being found to have breached rules on signing international players under the age of 18.
However, the suspension is now on hold pending an appeal.
Barca have been linked with Borussia Monchengladbach keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and also have a deal in place to sign Croatia midfielder Alen Halilovic.
Captain Carles Puyol and long-serving goalkeeper Victor Valdes have both announced they will leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season.
The Spanish champions were originally sanctioned by Fifa's disciplinary committee on 2 April for breaking the rules in the case of 10 minors and punished with the ban and a fine of 450,000 Swiss francs.
After Barcelona followed through on their promise to fight the ban, Fifa decided that due to the complexity of the case and the possibility of a further appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas), it was unlikely to be concluded before the opening of the transfer window on 1 July and therefore suspended the punishment.

Happy 27th Birthday to John Obi Mikel

The Nigerian who turned 27 on Tuesday was spotted with a new look Mohawk-style braid at the club's Cobham training ground on Monday.

Having won a variety of hairstyles over the years, this new look is the most audacious the laidback midfielder has had.
Mikel moved to Chelsea as a shy 19-year-old in 2006 and has made 310 appearances for the Blues.
However, he has seen his appearances limited since the return of Jose Mourinho to Stamford Bridge this season.

Everybody is so busy with Moyes sack, very few remember that tonight is Atletico Madrid vs Chelsea

Samuel Eto'o will miss Chelsea's Champions League semi-final first leg against Atletico Madrid with a knee injury.
The striker did not travel to Spain with the Blues ahead of Tuesday's meeting with the La Liga leaders.
Eto'o scored Chelsea's goal in their 2-1 defeat by Sunderland on Saturday, but was substituted after 74 minutes.
However, Eden Hazard has trained following a calf problem that has kept him out of action for nearly two weeks.
The Belgium winger, 23, suffered the injury during the early stages of Chelsea's quarter-final victory over Paris St- Germain on 8 April and has not played since.
Goalkeeper Petr Cech missed the Sunderland game - Jose Mourinho's first home defeat in 78 Premier League games as Chelsea manager - through illness but is expected to be well enough for the match in the Vicente Calderon Stadium after training as normal.
Right-back Branislav Ivanovic is suspended, while midfielders Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah are cup-tied.
Atletico are free to select goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who is on loan from Chelsea.
After the two sides were drawn to face each other, the Spanish club were due to pay a fee, reportedly up to £5m, if they picked the Belgian international but Uefa declared the clause in the club's loan agreement "null, void and unenforceable".
"I think his state of mind is the same as all other 20 members of the squad," said Atletico coach Diego Simeone of the 21-year-old, who has never played for Chelsea and is spending a third season with the Spanish side.
With Eto'o ruled out, Mourinho could select former Atletico striker Fernando Torres, who left his boyhood club to join Liverpool in 2007.
"He is a real Atletico supporter, I would say a big one," Mourinho said of the 30-year-old Spaniard.
"But I have no doubts that the minutes he is on the pitch he is going to try and do everything for Chelsea. I am not saying that Fernando is going to start, but I am saying that he never hides."

Ryan Giggs appointed as Interim Coach.....Manchester United should also consider our very own Stephen Keshi as Moyes replacement

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp says he is not interested in Man Utd job..... The search continues

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp says he is not interested in taking the Manchester United job, after the Premier League club sacked David Moyes on Tuesday.

The Scot was relieved of his duties on Tuesday morning only 10 months into a six-year contract at Old Trafford, having presided over the club's worst campaign in the Premier League era.
Klopp was widely reported to be one of the favourites to succeed Moyes this summer, despite having signed a new contract committing him to Dortmund until 2018 in October.

But speaking to the Guardian, the German said: "Man Utd is a great club and I feel very familiar with their wonderful fans. But my commitment to Borussia Dortmund and the people is not breakable."

It is confirmed: Manchester United have sacked manager David Moyes with immediate effect

David Moyes has been sacked by Manchester United with immediate effect.
Chief executive Ed Woodward arrived at Carrington at 8am on Tuesday morning to inform the Scot face-to-face of the news.
Moyes had already been informed of his fate and thanked club staff at the training complex in anticipation of his departure. The players were not present at the time.
A tweet on the club's official Twitter account read: 'BREAKING: Manchester United announces that David Moyes has left the club. The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.'
Ryan Giggs will take temporary charge for the rest of the season as interim manager.
It emerged on Monday that United's owners, the Glazer family, had lost patience with Moyes after a dismal season that has seen the reigning Barclays Premier League champions slump to seventh in the table.
The final straw was Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Everton, their 11th in the Barclays Premier League this season, and a result that left the title holders 13 points off the Champions League places.

Man City 3-1 West Brom....Aguero back to scoring ways

Manchester City's Premier League title hopes were given a much-needed boost with a 3-1 win over relegation-threatened West Brom on Monday.

Having been beaten by Liverpool before dropping points at home to Sunderland in a surprise 2-2 draw, City could ill-afford another slip-up at the Etihad Stadium.

While Manuel Pellegrini's men were not always at their fluent best, goals from the Argentinian trio of Pablo Zabaleta, Sergio Aguero and Martin Demichelis secured a welcome victory, leaving City a point adrift of second-placed Chelsea and six behind leaders Liverpool - with a game in hand on both.

Who is likely to replace Moyes as Manager of Manchester United.....But wait he hasn't left yet

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is one of the favourites to replace David Moyes at Manchester United, with the Scot set to leave the club after a disastrous first season in charge.
Klopp has endured a difficult season in Germany, with his side failing to challenge Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title and falling at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League.
He has recently been linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona to replace Gerardo Martino, although the Argentine still has another year to run on his contract.

Bookmaker Coral have Klopp at 5-1 to take charge next season, making him joint favourite with Louis van Gaal in the betting stakes.
Van Gaal is available at the same price as Ferguson after confirming he will leave his job as manager of Holland following this summer's World Cup in Brazil.
The Dutchman has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham in recent weeks, although his experience in Europe and at international level is sure to interest United owners the Glazer family.

Sir Alex Ferguson is 6-1 to make a sensational return to the United hotseat just a year after he hand-picked Moyes to take over.
The 72-year-old retired from management last summer after over 26 years in charge at Old Trafford, but Coral give him the same odds at current player-coach Ryan Giggs, who is considering hanging up his boots at the end of the season.

David Moyes to be sacked in the next 24 hours according to Sky sources....Sky you better not be pulling the legs of Man Utd fans

The outgoing Premier League champions have refused to comment on the widespread reports on Monday afternoon, but Sky sources suggest Moyes will be gone by Tuesday at the latest.
Moyes has endured a difficult reign since taking charge of United last summer, but the club were expected to stand by the Scot, despite a lack of success in domestic and European competitions.
United's board appear set to cut short Moyes' six-year deal in the wake of the latest 2-0 defeat at former club Everton, which left United 13 points adrift of the Premier League top four.

The America-based owners have learned from the senior executives based in the UK of the widespread disaffection of senior players and the United hierarchy believe dressing room unrest, coupled with a season of disastrous results, has made Moyes' position untenable.

United are set to become the equal worst defending champions in Premier League history, matching the seventh place finish of Ray Harford’s Blackburn Rovers in 1996. They are also likely to fail to qualify for the Europa League next season.

The United board have stood by Moyes following several disastrous results, most notably the home defeats last month to rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

But the scorelines have been matched by equally deflating performances and the pressure on Moyes has grown due to persistent rumours of discontent in the dressing room.

Finally Ronaldo is back from injury....Yippy!!! Bayern Munich brace yourselves

Cristiano Ronaldo was fit enough to complete a full training session on Monday for Real Madrid as they prepare for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final with Bayern Munich.

The 29-year-old has been battling to shake off a hamstring problem sustained in the quarter-final win over Borussia Dortmund and was initially a doubt for Wednesday's meeting at Santiago Bernabeu.

However, the attacker was able to train on Sunday before the club confirmed he completed a full routine session on Monday morning, meaning he will likely be fit to feature for Carlo Ancelotti's side against the reigning European champions.
Sergio Ramos, who has also been struggling with a minor injury, also completed the session, but Gareth Bale was forced to sit out due to illness.

Kevin Mirallas doubled their advantage shortly before half-time, slotting home on the counter after being played in by a fantastic delivery from Seamus Coleman, and United could summon no serious effort to get back into the game.

The ugly truth

Saturday 19 April 2014

This man has scored 22 goals for Manchester City this season, and he is not a striker, He is Africa's best and he deserves to be up there with the world's best.

The Ivorian International and Manchester City Midfielder  has scored 18 goals in the premier league and 22 goals in all competitions for club this season, if you think that it beans ask Chelsea striker Fernando Torres that has only managed 4 goals in the premier league and 9 goals in all competition.

Yaya Says he is not recognized as one of the world's best because he is from Africa......Media please face your work, promote African players

Yaya Toure, 30, has 22 goals this season, helping City to win the League Cup and challenge for the Premier League title.
The midfielder has won league titles in four countries - Ivory Coast, Greece, Spain and England - and was part of the Barcelona team that won the Champions League in 2009.
He also feels fellow countryman Didier Drogba and Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o are undervalued because they are African.
"To be honest, proper recognition has only come from the fans," said the three-time African player of the year, also voted BBC African footballer of the year in 2013. "I don't want to be hard and I don't want to be negative, but I want to be honest."
Toure feels the media should do more to promote African players.
"If we play well and we don't have the recognition from the media, we are not going to be where we want to be," he said.
"If you go to any part of Africa now, people will say 'yes, we know him [Lionel Messi]', but when you come to Europe and say 'Yaya Toure' people will say 'who is that?'

"Some will say they know my name but not know my face. But they will know Messi's face.
"I am very proud to be African, I want to defend African people and I want to show to the world that African players can be as good as the Europeans and South Americans."

2 Managers with less finances but very much mouthed? I am no prophet but one of them will win their domestic leagues

Happy 27th Birthday Joe Hart...Who do you think is the best shot stopper in the EPL?

AC Milan 3-0 Livorno.... AC Milan is back !!!

Today's win against Livorno marks Milan's fifth straight Serie A victory and keeps their hopes of Europa League qualification alive, as well as easing the pressure on coach Clarence Seedorf amid rumours that he will be replaced at the end of the season.

Seedorf's side move up to seventh with the win, five points behind fifth-placed rivals Inter, while Domenico Di Carlo's Livorno are now 19th, three points adrift of safety with four games remaining.

Mario Balotelli celebrated his 50th AC Milan appearance by opening the scoring in their 3-0 win over Serie A strugglers Livorno on Saturday.
Adel Taarabt and Giampaolo Pazzini joined Balotelli on the scoresheet to settle the contest at San Siro and pile more misery on the relegation-threatened visitors.
